Return to Ivy Kickstarter Event scheduled to benefit UI Children’s Hospital
Cedar Rapids, Iowa 10/7/15 - On October 24th, the inaugural Return to Ivy & Innocence Storybook Event will be active on the crowdfunding Kickstarter website with a portion of it's proceeds to benefit University of Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Scheduled to begin on October 24th, the event will last for thirty five days, ending on November 29th. The purpose of the Kickstarter venture, being organized by artist, Susan Reader, is to revitalize the award winning line with the introduction of the new storybook.
Following the Ivy tradition of heartening tales, the new Return to Ivy & Innocence Storybook will kindle your imagination and deepen the appreciation of everything around you. Stories that inspire the reader, young or old, to view the world from a new perspective, cultivating a positive outlook on life.
One of the most unique and appreciated things about the storybook is the possibility to create your own unique village, piece by piece, with a sense of purpose and direction. You can venture beyond the pages of the book and develop a magical world giving it your own personality and stories.
With the new UI Children’s Hospital affiliation, artist Susan Reader would like to offer patients a special venture exploring their imagination strolling down Ivy's cobblestone lanes and journey into a magical world of hope and dreams, encouraging recovery.
The vintage cottages and homespun tales depict an uplifting community that will not only plant the seed of optimism in the young patients but stir up wonderful memories of yesterday for family members and their young-at-heart visitors.
